In this first show Lij takes you through the basics of setting up a song for mixing. Whether you are using Protools or any other DAW there are some techniques that will help streamline you mixing process.

I met Dave Coleman years ago when I was visiting a friend. Dave was his roommate and could be heard down the hall learning guitar licks to Johnny Cash songs. I remember immediately thinking “Man that guy sounds great! What a classic guitar tone.” Over the years I got to know Dave and his band The Coal Men through many great records recorded both with the amazing Brian Carter at Paradox Productions and with me at The Toy Box Studio. Dave is a brilliant song writer, guitar player, and producer. It has been and honor to make many records with him, most recently the wonderful sounding Escalator, Presented by Todd Snider’s Aimless records. For Stereo Sessions 7 Dave joins us with Dave Ray on drums, and Paul Slivka on bass.

I met Nick Bullock this year as he moved to Nashville TN from Ithaca NY. He was introduced to me by my cousin Jenny Lowe Stearns also a brilliant singer and song writer from Ithaca. Nick is an instantly likable guy with an attitude that makes you feel like everything is gonna be ok in the world of music.
