Hailing from “The Birthplace Of Country Music”, Bristol TN, Chad has been steeped in real country music his whole life, and grew up with a true appreciation for great American music. He studied recording at the Conservatory for Recording Arts and Sciences and worked his way up through the ranks at Oceanway Studios in Nashville TN.

With over 20 years of making great records Chad has worked with legends like Jim Lauderdale, Robert Hunter, Patty Griffin, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Robert Plant and Bill Medley.

Chad Brown extols the benefits of mixing on the vintage custom MCI console to get that Grammy winning sound. It “adds the right kind of harmonics” and richness to your mix. The vintage custom MCI console at The Toy Box Studio is one of a kind. Built by Jeep Harned for Criteria Studios in 1969 the MCI console was on its way to the Rock and Roll hall of fame when Lij Shaw acquired it for The Toy Box Studio to continue making award winning records.

This isnt the first time the MCI console has been to the Grammys either! It won the Grammy for Album Of The Year two years in a row in 1977 with The Eagles Hotel California and in 1978 with the Bee Gees Saturday Night Fever. There is a long list of hit records made on this MCI console.
